Why is Self-Care Critical?

Whether you have kids, are married or single, the last few weeks of summer can be chaotic and it’s super important to remember to take care of yourself. Seriously, it’s critical!

Let’s clear up one common misconception from the get-go: Self-care is not the same as self-indulgence or being selfish. Self-care means taking care of yourself so that you can be healthy, you can be well, you can do your job, you can help and care for others, and you can do all the things you need to and want to accomplish in a day.

What does self-care mean for you?

Self-care for me means getting enough rest, taking supplements, and a regimen of essential oils. Oh, and of course it means putting nutritious foods in my body (love juicing)!

Some peeps, especially moms, think that putting yourself first is selfish. There’s a difference between self-care and selfishness. All I’m going to say is that you NEED to be sure you’re operating at full speed ahead so you can be there for your family. Essential oils are a big part of that for me.

If you don’t have kids, it’s still important to meet your needs and treat yourself with love and respect.

We all need support to get going, and some days we need that more than others. Sticking to a self-care regimen as often as possible will not only help you maintain but also support you in upping your game when you need to.

For myself, one of the many self-care routines I do on a daily is to start and end my day by caring for my skin. It is known that our skin is a mirror of our internal health so it’s key to take care of it. I love using pure plant constituents for their powerful synergistic effects. Check out this “Glowing Skin” clip for what I use and why: VIDEO

Here for you as I absolutely LOVE how my self-care has worked for me!
